Три холста, сделанные во время арт-резиденции "Невидимые слои" от кураторской команды Fridaymilk в рамках проекта "Никель – Полярный день" центра "Вторая школа" в Никеле.

The first part of the triptych about Nickel is devoted to nature. Having visited the city for the first time, I realized that my expectations did not coincide with reality (for the better), Nickel seemed to me quite green and cozy. Maybe lucky with the weather and the lack of emissions from the plant. In the background and at the edges are quotes by Konstantin Korovin and Vladimir Benediktov about the north.

Первая часть триптиха про Никель посвящена природе.
Впервые побывав в городе, я понял, что мои ожидания не совпали с реальностью (в лучшую сторону), Никель показался мне вполне зелёным и уютным. Может, повезло с погодой и отсутствием выбросов с завода. На фоне и по краям цитаты Константина Коровина и Владимира Бенедиктова о севере.
Впервые побывав в городе, я понял, что мои ожидания не совпали с реальностью (в лучшую сторону), Никель показался мне вполне зелёным и уютным. Может, повезло с погодой и отсутствием выбросов с завода. На фоне и по краям цитаты Константина Коровина и Владимира Бенедиктова о севере.

The second canvas is about the urban environment and, since Nickel is located near state borders, about international relations.Walking around the city, I noticed that there are a lot of tags and graffiti on the walls, so I decided to make a reference to this on the canvas - the upper and lower quotes by Terry Pratchet (about cats, which were seen in large numbers here) and E.M. Remarque (about the city ) are made in "street" style. And in the center "Nickel" and "Norway" are intertwined.

Второй холст про городскую среду и, так как Никель находится вблизи государственных границ, про международные отношения. Прогуливаясь по городу, заметил, что на стенах много тэгов и граффити, поэтому решил сделать отсылку к этому на холсте - верхняя и нижняя цитаты Терри Пратчета (про котиков, коих здесь было замечено в больших количествах) и Э. М. Ремарка (про город) сделаны в "уличном" стиле. А по центру переплетаются "Никель" и "Norway".

The triptych is completed by the canvas about nickel as a chemical element. Collected here are various facts about this substance and the history of its discovery.For example, one of the variants of the translation of the word "nickel" is "stubborn", because initially from nickel ore, due to a similar appearance, they tried to get copper, but nothing came of it.

Завершает триптих холст про никель как химический элемент. Здесь собраны различные факты об этом веществе и истории его обнаружения. Например, один из вариантов перевода слова "nickel" – "упрямый", т. к. изначально из никелевой руды, из-за схожего вида, пытались получить медь, но ничего не выходило.
